Cab Assassin Emerges from the Ashes

Ladies and Gentlemen, ChiefBaby Records would like to (re)introduce CAB ASSASSIN - the formal name for Brad and Steve's future recording and performing. The two decided it was time to retire the LouAlbino name. After about the last 7 years or so of on again/off again drummers, several moves (from DC to Cal) the guys have adopted the name of an existing side-project conceived by steve this past year. Expect plenty of new recorded material by spring 2005. The details are still being sorted out. There will likely be some acoustic songs mixed with some electric songs. The drummer situation isn't under wraps yet, but there is a plan in the works. The guys are refraining from redoing any albino tunes for recording purposes, but if you see them live, you might get lucky. they will be playing scattered shows and parties in the bethany beach area mid to late summer. We'll keep you posted.

Lou Albino Discography

This gives a brief bio on each of the ChiefBaby releases.

CB-001 Faggot Monster Five. A "Best of" Steve and Geordie's recordings spanning Summer '95 through January '97. Released Fall 1997. A word of advice: FM5 is only for die-hards. Some of the songs here were written while steve and brad were in their first band together BUG...

CB-002 Lou Albino - 487 lbs of Rock n' Roll. Earliest recordings of a fledgling band of verbally abusive roommates striking inticate guitar harmonies and riffing with a passion. Recorded Spring 1998 - Spring 1999. Released March 2000.

CB-003 Drunken Acoustics at the East End. Brad and Steve learn all about stage-fright at their favorite punk rock watering hole. Sept - Oct 2000. Never formally released, and probably never will be! Please don't ask us for a copy of Drunken Acoustic, we like to pretend it never happened.

CB-004 the Quiet Resort EP. 6 songs of ferocious riffs coupled with monster beats (supplied by the addition of Rob-ot Plitko Chips on the trap kit). B-String Leads LP

Rock n' Roll Bethany Beach Style
Bethany Beach, Delaware's own LOU ALBINO have returned with a blistering 17 song LP. "B-Sting Leads." The album (CB-010) is being released on the resurrected ChiefBaby label, and is the first formal release by the band since 2000's "Quiet Resort" EP. The album was recorded by Steve on 4-track between late April and August 2003. The album was mixed by Steve and Brad in October 2003. For most of the song, the line up was B-rad (guit/vox), Steve Rup (Guit/vox/bass) and ROB-ot (Drums/wristbands). There was additional drumming on 4 songs by former Lou Albino drummer, G-Slim (from 487 lbs fame).

So come on, get a copy and support the local scene. Just ask B-Rad or Steve Rup and they'll hook you up.

Long live the totem pole!!
